How Atheists Celebrate Christmas (The Atheist Experience #531).

What is The Atheist Experience?

The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas geared at an atheist and non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin (ACA), a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.

Depart now from all form of unrighteousness such as fornication, homosexuality, ography, watching violent entertainment, drug abuse, smoking, gambling, cursing, bullying, revelries, pursuit of money and idolatry etc. LEST YOU BE FOUND NOT WORTHY TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

A volcano situated in the US will erupt not far from now, when this happen you will know that this warning is from God.

    It’s funny. I …
It’s funny. I recently got asked why do I celebrate Christmas, even though I am an atheist.
And my answer was: Because I am hungry. Because that’s what on the dish this evening. I have no problem with celebrating Christmas, though. I think that Christmas is one of the few holidays that actually are nice and bear no evil to them. I celebrate it not because of some guy that supposedly died for our sins and was born on that day, I celebrate because of the nice idea of giving care and love.

    wel i believe that …
wel i believe that christmas, hanika, an as well as the pagan holiday have lost all meanin upon it celibration and now has become a comercialised season which has no actual meanin towards its celebration, it the same as santa clause used to be green an because of coke now its red comercialiastion once again, but as a whole all religions have a simular basis of which they celebrate of which is for family gatherin of which i believe the festive seasons are all about

i celebrate christmas because i like it. I can do thinks that i want that i like because i want to. christians do not have that ability- they are instructed to do things, and they can either do ALL of them and disobey their own will, or disobey the Bible and be a hypocrite.

  20. slayed11 Says:

    i have a few …
i have a few questions, one what is an atheist community?, for that matter what is a christian community?, Why would something be good or bad, what is right and wrong, how can you prove this, how do humans understand each other through language, and art?,are you god? am i god? what the where am i at?, to much pot maybe :S

  21. ctypro96706 Says:

    Someone at work …
Someone at work once said that I shouldn’t celebrate the Christmas holiday because I’m not a Christen, even though he knows it started as a Pagan holiday, he said it has Christ name in it now, so it’s a Christen holiday. Like a lot of non-Christens, I’ve always celebrated Christmas, it is what most people know the holiday as. I asked him why do you call that ink on your skin a tattoo, you’re not Polynesian? He said everyone knows it as a tattoo exactly! Christmas my favorite Pagan holiday.

  22. isaachaze1 Says:

    you’re pretty funny …
you’re pretty funny. i’m starting to believe this is actually satire. it’s fairly well done if so. and no, you cannot disprove that there are legions of flying goat/monkey creatures that live in other universes and sit around playing chess all that. the inability to prove such has nothing to do with logic. and you sure weren’t joking in saying, “i am not that logical myself”! lol. you have NO concept of logic. kind of a failing of our eductional system most likely. dont worry about it 2 much :)

  23. nowayout001 Says:

    hahahaha, from now …
hahahaha, from now on, I see that you are actually very illogical. No one can prove a negative position. This is basic and simple logic, but you don’t even get it. Formal religions like Christianity are not all that believe God exists. There are people who are unsure, and they are what real logical people are. I am not that logical myself because I have personal experiences that made me believe that there must be some sort of superior force out there. But you are just even more illogical…

  24. isaachaze1 Says:

you can take it a …
you can take it a step further with “antitheist,” i.e., one who actively despises the idea of a god. i think i’ve gradually morphed into this one

  25. isaachaze1 Says:

    i have done far …
i have done far more than take a logic course.i try to live my life according the precepts of logic (sometimes i fail).in any event,i do not believe you are using any sort of conventional defination of logic making your claims.and no, i’m saying the big bang et al was not intentional, just not “accidental”in the sense of an intention gone awry, if that makes sense. but no, trust me on this. a belief in the supernatural is in no way logical.doesnt mean it’s wrong (i believe it is), just not logic
