Boxing Day is a public holiday in the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and countries in the Commonwealth of Nations with a mainly Christian population. It is based on the tradition of giving gifts to the less fortunate members of society. Contemporary Boxing Day in many countries is now a "shopping holiday" associated with after-Christmas sales.

Yorkshire pudding is a dish that originated in Yorkshire but
attained wider popularity. It is made from batter and most often served with roast beef, chicken, or any meal in which there is gravy served with it, or on its own. Gravy is often served alongside. It is often claimed that the purpose of the dish was to provide a cheap way to fill the diners – the Yorkshire pudding being much cheaper than the other constituents of the meal – thus stretching a lesser amount of the more expensive ingredients as the Yorkshire pudding was traditionally served first.

Boxing Day is traditionally the day where christmas gifts were shared, given in brightly coloured boxes, therefore the day itself was named Boxing Day.

Yorkshire pudding is served with any roast dinner, made from batter.

Boxing day was the traditional xmas gift giving day and took its name from when servants were given gifts by their employers (in boxes hence boxing day). Yorkshire pudding is a cooked batter mix made from flour , milk ets, and is mostly served with roast beef, though can go with anything, including jam etc!

The day after Christmas day is when you gave your servants their "christmas box" or cash bonus.

Yorkshire pudding is baked batter usually served with roast beef. It uses the same ingredients as pancakes and is very similar to Nan bread. It’s actually a Belgian concoction that didn’t come to England until the returning troops brought it back in 1918.

Boxing Day is a Christian tradition (in Britian, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc) – it was the day people traditionally shared gifts and foods with the less fortunate members of society (in boxes, hence the name). Another potential cause for the names is when servants of rich families returned for work they were given coins by their employers for a bonus, and carried boxes to take them home in.

Yorkshire pudding is a savory dish of raised batter in a round bowl shape, eaten with gravy. There are many receipes online, it is not really a mysterious dish.

Boxing day originates from the feast of steven. Yorkshire pudding is a pudding made from batter cooked with meat juices its served with roast dinners usually enjoyed on a sunday. It cannot be mistaken with a sweet pudding however as it is a savoury dish, its usually crisp on the outside and soft in the middle it is usually served on the side along with veg and usually beef. It was originated in Yorkshire but now eaten all around Britain. If you have never tried it do because it is absolutely delicious.

    Hope that this helps..:):)

Boxing day is just the day after Christmas, Usually it is spent visiting family, or more frequently in recent years hitting the post Christmas sales… and Yorkshire pudding is a savory pudding made from pancake batter (made the British way) cooked in the oven, in hot oil or fat. Traditionally they are served with roast beef and gravy, or with sausages baked in to make toad in the hole (no toads actually involved)
