I have a friend who is going to be 40. I’m trying to think of somethings the two of us can do to celebrate her birthday that aren’t super expensive (like travel) but bigger than your basic dinner/movies, everyday stuff. We’re both quiet types not into bars or big groups. Thanks for any ideas.
You can have a talk with him and see what it would look like. DOn’t worry you will get used to 40’s but you will be afraid of 50’s hahahah. It is not so easy to say wow I am not young anymore I am old. But 40 ’s are beautiful I promise.

You could have dinner then go to a concert or lecture.

You know, a lot of different Day Spas are having specials right now, because Valentines days is coming up, and they even have couples specials, which usually include massage, facials, mani and pedis, stuff like that. Or try something a little wild, but not crazy, like parasailing, which where I’m from, is only about $200 for two people…. Or get some Glamor shots done, check around for pricing, (watch out for hidding sitting fees)
40 is a big birthday, I would do something big, memorible, and something you’ve never done before!
