My birthday is in November and we have the tradition of going to church on Christmas morning.

Because of a split family we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve. Usually a ham dinner with all the fixings. I <3 food. I usually make the desserts. My specialty is cakes but I can make pies and cookies too.

There’s another holiday I celebrate, It’s called Winter-een-mas (www.wintereenmas.com) and It’s the last week of January (but the holiday spirit is all month long).

WEMas (as I like to abbreviate it) is a holiday for gamers. It started as a joke in a comic some years ago and just sort of grew and mutated. You can read about it on that site if you’re interested.

My and my boyfriend celebrated WEMas last year by buying an xbox 360; a bunch of old school PS1 and N64 games; and going to Chicago for the weekend. The year before we got a Gamecube and new games.

I really like the holiday because it gives my boyfriend and I a reason to cuddle together for a week and play some fun silly multiplayer games or bring out the old classic games we don’t normally touch. It gives a nice feeling to remember the excitement of a new fresh crisp NES and that constant blowing out the games to make them work.

Not only does it create the perfect environment to cuddle with someone you love and just enjoy a game but it also opens way for lots of large LAN parties for several or even dozens or even hundreds of people to get together. And they all know that they all share the common love of something.
