We are celebrating their birthday with a huge group (family) party in Puerto Rico next month; however, we’d like to do something simple and special here in the states. We really don’t have the money to invite friends, so it will be just my husband, grandma, aunt, our 3-year old son, and the twins. Any ideas? We thought about Build-A-Bear but think that this may engage more the adults (hahaha) than the 1-year old twins : ) What do you think?
My twins turned 1 in December. We had the grandparents over for dinner. I made birthday carrot cake cupcakes and they each got a new toy after dinner. That was plenty for them. Between having frosting, playing new toys and taking a bath they had a great birthday and slept like rocks.

Build a Bear wouldn’t be good for a 1 year old. Instead I would just take everyone out to eat or have a small dinner at your house with cake and ice cream or you could all go to the zoo.

Do something at home. They are 1 you are having a big party next month.
Why not have pizza and cake at the house or if you would prefer find a kid friendly restaurant. make sure to get a smash cake for both of them to play with and take lots of pictures

It depends where you live if the zoo is open or not. That’s where we took our daughter when she turned 1 and it was fun for everyone. You may want to look into an aquarium as well. Or Chuck E Cheese and let the twins play in the toddler section.
