Since there was no real Jesus, there is really no point in celebrating an imagined and imaginary person’s birthday. In that sense, I agree with you — why not celebrate this imaginary person’s birthday at a time that is more convenient for everyone? the christmas celebration came about when the Christian Church realized it was impossible to stop the pagan peoples celebrating the winter solstice .so instead they replaced it with a Christian celebration
