Was that effective or was it like talking to a deaf person?
When Bill Cosby delivered the message that Sharpton and Jackson will not say, the minions of groups like moveontosocialism.org and the liberal media, dug up dirt to dismiss and disparage Cosby, to send him and anyone else who does not lead civil rights with "get even with whitey", a message, we will destroy you.
Cosby said blacks need to place their families and children first, fathers not to abandon their kids and have children they can’t afford.
Jackson and Sharpton on the other hand, pervert Dr King’s message by inciting racial hatred to gain political and other power.
Tomorrow you will hear Sharpton’s and Jackson’s message, not Cosbys. The liberal media chooses the leaders for black Americans who would be offended with the assumption that Jackson and Sharpton, speak for them.

MLK would have said it first if he could have.
And EVERYONE knows it.

Are you missing the African Americans who are declaring "God Bless America". I’ve been around for a while and I never thought I would see the day. Bill Cosby was right.

The victim mentality of the A-A community in the US is astonishing. Take credit when there is success (athletes, politicians, entertainers, businesspeople) and when there is a failing, it is the country’s fault.

Ohhh…so Bill Cosby has replaced Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson as the black man blacks are supposed to listen to and adhere.
That’s right because it’s so obvious that none of us can think for ourselves and we need a "leader" to guide us.
Pure ignorance.

You no longer need to go to school. Obama is going to take care of everyone. The government is the answer. Long live the "Government of Obama"!

Seriously, if MLK was alive today, he would be a registered Republican and would be ashamed at the "black community leaders" and the way they hold their own race down to make themselves rich.
White Guilt is now dead, my friends. Once Obama bat takes office, the Colt 45 crew has no one to blame but themselves!
LOL….

Black on Black violence is picking up…I don’t believe the black culture is listening to Mr Cosby and they won’t listen to Uncle Tom Obama either.

At least, he actually told them that they can do whatever they want as long as they had a good education and stay out of trouble. He’s a role model. He’s living proof that blacks can make it and he’s not saying that whitey is what’s standing in the way. He’s an honest man, not like politicians and their rhetoric. The fact that people listen to politicians and don’t think for themselves is what’s keeping them down.

Has Bill Cosby replaced Jesse Jackson as the spokesman for all black people?
Isn’t it still a symptom of a society that refuses to productively deal with its racist past and present, that we still feel like what a handful of "blacks" do with their lives is on behalf of the "black race" in general?
What about all the irresponsible and uneducated white people? Do "whites" have a spokesperson?
How many of the decisions that you make on a daily basis are *because* you are white, black, or whatever? Is it fair for somebody like Cosby to force "blacks" into that situation?
I understand what Cosby is trying to do, and he’s been doing it since he promoted a bourgeois black family on the Cosby Show. There are definitely problems with black youths using the same N-word given to them by slave-traders and slave-holders, which Julian Curry talks about here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wD-UpHlB9no.
But to assume that Cosby speaks on behalf of "a color" and is speaking to one specific "color" is absurd; it’s a very 1960s-80s mentality. (I don’t mean to rigidly divide it by decades, I just mean that this is a dying way of talking about race . . . hopefully.)
