Disney’s Celebrate America – 4th of July Concert in the Sky

Fireworks light up the sky and illuminated image projections create a patriotic canvas on the exterior on Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom on July 1, 2008. It was all part of a surprise preview for Walt Disney World theme park guests of the Fourth of July fireworks show entitled, “Disney’s Celebrate America – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky.”

This is one of the best Disney Theme Parks fireworks. Magic Kingdom’s is so cool, it has fireworks launching around the perimeter of the park. Disneyland’s cancelled the show that day because of winds! It’s too bad Disneyland is surrounded with alot of neighborhoods.

    yeah totally. thats …
yeah totally. thats the only reason why disneyland can pull it off, they basically created aneheim into what it is today, it’s funny cause when they built california screamin for dca, they had to put blue tubes over the top of almost ever drop so you couldn’t hear loud screams over the park and the neighborhoods next to it. disney shouldn’t have to put up with the neighborhoods, but their cool about it.

  21. Littlescienceguy Says:

    Yeah. That’s true …
Yeah. That’s true too. I’ve heard reports that it sounds like “Downtown Baghdad” every night after Remember… Dreams Come True. Also consider that Disneyland was there first, and the neighborhoods crept up around it. Disney has seniority, so if they really wanted to, they could pull it off.

  22. RaVeNSwifT412 Says:

    well your kinda …
well your kinda right on that one, but one of the main reasons, is that celebrate america uses way more fireworks than usaual, and the largest ones they’ve got. now that in mind disney land is surrounded by neighborhoods and freeways so they can’t shoot off alot of fireworks, plus on top of them being loud enough to set car alarms off.

    OMG. I’ve just …
OMG. I’ve just realised that I was there ON THAT VERY DAY. July the 1st, right? That was the first day of our summer holiday. We spent the day at the Kingdom, then went home for a bit with plans to come back in the evening for the fireworks. But we didn’t, for some insane reason. And I missed this! Seriously!

Great video of the fireworks! Disney’s nights sure are spectacular.

    Are you serious?! I …
Are you serious?! I was there at Disneyland that night too. I thought it was the winds. I was surprised that the show proceeded at first. I totally agree with you. They should play it through the week like Walt Disney World. So just in case something goes wrong, there are other opportunities to see the show. And a dress rehearsal is common sense. Disneyland’s been pretty cheap about things because California Adventure is sucking the funds, I think.
