this is their cultural heritage
people all over the world have cultures and traditions that were based of more primitive religious times
it’s only natural that after a society advances it forgets the primitive religious reason to the holiday and only the tradition remains…
just as Christmas was originally a pagan holiday and Easter was a Jewish holiday and in the christian area in Europe people still capt celebrating them… but changed them to the times they live in… so is today in the post modern area the holidays adopted to today involvement.

basically, I do not celebrate a religious holiday. I celebrate time with my family and a break from work.

I do not CARE if it’s called ‘Christmas’ or ‘Yule’ or even ’saturnalia’

I do not CARE if it’s called ‘Easter’ or ‘Oestre’ or even if its called ‘harry’s old socks’

Your petty religion does not interest me, I just like a party and presents and chocolate eggs

1 – Those holidays were originally pagan, not christian
2 – Those holidays have become secularized
3 – People have a right to celebrate whatever holidays they like. Even if you’re not Jewish, you can celebrate Hannukah if you want to.
4 – Don’t worry, I’m sure they’ll leave out all the christian parts, (because the christian parts are the boring parts).

The fact that both of these holidays were stolen from Pagans by Christians in the first place.
Christians do now own winter or spring ritualized celebrations. This is your ethnocentric world view speaking.
You have no right to dictate how others can behave, and you are not the authority on who is a real Christian.
