Comments on: muslims, a christmas song. IMPORTANT?

I’m not a Muslim, but I have a good friend who is. He plays the guitar, listens to all kinds of music, sends me a Christmas card every year, and believes that Jesus was a good prophet. Like the rest of us he knows Jesus wasn’t born Dec. 25 anyway, so really all Christmas is about is that Jesus was born…..sometime…..and no Muslim will deny that since it is a historical fact.

My friend would tell you to enjoy whatever music you want. Allah loves you and wants you to be happy.

awh, I am not of any religion, but it’s okay to listen to songs-no matter what they are-If they are morally good.
My friend is a Hindu and her family still celebrates christmas. Not b.c they follow Christianity, but it’s nice to have an excuse t be with family, and any Gods gifts should be celebrated no matter what culture it was born into. Is God not in all religions? Why does one religions celebrations have to be evil and a sin while another is not? That is what starts wars, and God is not about wars..God is about Love.
Jesus is about Love, you don’t have to believe in him the same way Christians do, to cleberate taht God gave him to the world to spread wisdom..just like I don’t hav eto follow Sikhism to believe God gave the Gurus to spread wisdom …All celebrations are good all songs are good that celebrate God!!!
God is ONE..no matter what we call god or how many time ppl divide god into groups-it’s always one..and all songs that sing in joy are fine!!

that being said, remember xmas songs are commercialized now- most of them have to do with relationships and love more than hey do with Christ…
In the end it’s just a song…song is good.

I like rap music, but that doesn’t mean I hate the police or objectify women.

Liking some music or art doesn’t change your beliefs or who you are. If you like the song, enjoy it.

asalamu alaikum lil sis, i’m happy to hear that ur faithful, but i hope u know that music is not allows in Islam because of the instruments, but Nasheeds are allowed that remind u of Allah, and use daff only, which is like a drum that has stretched goat skin over it.
