Why the Christians and Muslims don’t celebrate eight days celebration of Hanukkah?

On the 25th of Kislev are the days of Chanukkah, which are eight… these were appointed a Festival with Hallel [prayers of praise] and thanksgiving.

-Shabbat 21b, Babylonian Talmud

Some Christians do celebrate Hanukkah, with their Jewish friends.

I suppose that the reason that the Church did not adopt Hanukkah as a holiday is that Jews had Christians persecuted. Also, Christians do not want to reconsecrate a Jewish temple where a mosque is standing.

Jesus observed Hanukkah (John 10:22-23), though, so perhaps we Christians should, too.

I think it may be a Jewish thing. It is known as the festival of light, or Diwali.

When ever i walk by peoples flower gardens, all the flowers jump out of the ground and start singing and dancing for me and fly around me squirting their flower perfume at me so i always smell nice.
that’s why the people in my village love me when i ride naked on my pink and blue hippopotamus, throwing fruit at them.
