They have been married for a very long time and I thnk it will be fun for them. I just need ideas please.
Get the family together, invite some of their friends, have cake and other snacks, gifts and perhaps some sort of slide show of their years together if you can get your hands on their pictures.

First of all – send all their friends and family a piece of paper for a scrap book and ask them to tell their favorite story about the couple and send a return envelope to have it returned. Ask everyone to send any thing they would like put in the scrap book. (my cousin did this for her parents and people sent pictures, stories, and even drawings and paintings) Each child did something special for the scrap book too. Be sure to ask everyone to get these things to you several weeks before the date so you can get the scrapbook done.
Then the day of the celebration have a limo pick them up to take them to the party. Have all their children and spouses ride with them. Be sure to include some champagne or sparkling grape juice to help celebrate.
At the celebration have someone film the even. Then have each child and maybe grandchild toast the couple with a speech on why your grandparents are so special or important to them and what good examples they have taught them. Be sure that each speech is recorded.
These things will mean more to them than any gift.
Note: Be sure to display the scrapbook at the party the guests will enjoy it very much.

That is a long time…wow…
Im sure having all their loved ones around them would be enough..Have people write them little notes and have them read it infront of everyone…things about what an inspiration they are and role models…that should steal their hearts..esp when the great grandkids read theirs
