What else can we do at work to celebrate besides eating cake?

Every month it seems like someone is having a birthday, getting married, going away, or having a baby. All of us in the office are tired of eating cake and ice cream. What else can we eat (or do) to celebrate these occasions?

how about instead have a fruit platter?? chopped pineapple, strawberry, melon etc???? and get a small chocolate fondue fountain (they are like $7 in the bargain section at borders (the bookstore))

How do adults celebrate halloween that is different from how kids celebrate?

Yes, people celebrate halloween to have a good time and have fun.

But how do adults celebrate halloween different from children? What types of costumes are the most popular? Just curious.

The kids celebrate it by going trick-or-treating and eating lots of candy. Adults celebrate it by going to parties, haunted attractions, watching movies, and other events.

Here’s an article that talks about popular costumes:

i saw this cool bank thing, and i want it NOW what should i get if i get any thing i want????

For your birthday you don’t really need to spend much to have a great time. Try to have it in a skating rink or golf course. You could also have it in an arcade if you and your friends like to play games. Just be sure you have enough snacks and drinks for everyone. Start telling your friends and family the type of gifts you want now so they can buy them in time. If you need gift ideas you should check out this page. It has gifts specifically for teens http://www.giftgrease.com/teengifts.html You could also ask for a Ribbon e-gift card. It is a new type of gift that allows you to actually pick the gift you want online and it will be shipped to you for free.. It has alot brand-named merchandise that you will like. Here are the different types of cards you can ask for. http://www.giftgrease.com/ribbon-e-gift-cards.html I know birthdays are not all about gifts but it really makes things alot more memorable. Hope this helps.

How do you celebrate two different religions in the same house?

Posted by admin on October 21st, 2009 and filed under celebrate what | 4 Comments »

If there are family members of 2 different religions in the same house how do you celebrate holidays?

Mutual respect for both. You don´t mention what the religions are. Let´s say, for the sake of argument that its Christian and Judaism and we are talking about December.

Put up a Christmas tree, light a menorah, put some dradles out (sp?). Exchange gifts on the appropriate days for the appropriate people. Give the Jews their presents during Hanukkah and the Christians theirs for Christmas. Read from the appropriate Scriptures on the appropriate days. Go to the appropriate church/synagogue on the appropriate days. Have the appropriate meals on the appropriate days.

Or better yet, integrate the two. If your family is more open minded, engage all family members in the activities of both faiths and don´t keep them separate. Give the Jews a taste of Christmas and the Christians a taste of Judaism. It´s a great way to learn about a faith outside of your own and to understand your family members better.

Why does the US allow Texans to celebrate thier former republic and revolution?

Posted by admin on October 19th, 2009 and filed under celebrate what | 12 Comments »

These people should not be allowed to celebrate the republic of texas or their revolution. They are now part of america. The statues of Sam Houston should be torn down and statues of Washington put up. Thier people need to stop flying thier flag as high as the american flag. Most texans are anti-american and only seem to care about thier own state. Texans have nothing to celebrate.

We have a rich cultural heritage that we are proud of. We fought for freedom from Mexico. Like how the early United States fought for freedom from England. Then we became part of the United States. That does not mean we have to lose our identity. After all we are the Lone Star State. You ask these Texans and they will tell you they are proud to be a Texan and an American. I know I am.

How do you think al qaeda will celebrate after Obama cuts ands runs from Iraq?

He said we shouldn’t have invaded so we should leave the country in turmoil.

What will al qaeda in Iraq do to celebrate?

Al Qaeda wasn’t even in Iraq until Bush decided to invade it, so I think they’ll be disappointed that their hero mighty warlord president Bush will be gone.
