dont know for a fact that it was on december when he was born.
I read somewhere because of a popular new year holiday called "Yule" from the old religion that the church wanted to stop the people from celebrating, so they replaced it with a christian holiday.
why is it that people all around the world the majority celebrate jesus birthdate on december when they?
Why do you celebrate the birth of Jesus Dec 25?
Jesus was not born Dec. 25. It is not in the Bible when Jesus was born. No one knows the date when he was born,
I agree.
GOD bless
Why do people celebrate Jesus’ resurrection when the Bible says to remember & celebrate his death?
Would someone please give me there serious answer to this question. I follow the bible & the bible clearly states to remember his death, to celebrate his death not his resurrection. He DIED for us, why not remember his death not his resurrection, even though that was important, but thats not what he said to do. And whats w/the bunny & eggs? And why do majority of religions celebrate it always & only on Sunday. If i died on a Sun. one year, the following year that day would be on a Mon…This is soo fake to me, & people are actually following this. Makes no sense to me. Do people really read & follow the bible the way they should & not just follow what they are told by man, & tradition??
What I meant was that the bible says to remember & celebrate his death. I didnt say that the bible doesnt say anything about his resurrection, its not what i was trying to put out there. I know his resurrection was important, but his death is what I choose to celebrate & remember yearly.
You are obviously a thinking person.
Although the resurrection is highly important, Jesus instructed to commemerate his death.
What you see happening all around you is testimony to the hypocrisy of christendom.
It is christendom that has let in all these pagan customs, even encouraged them.
Please, never confuse christendom with Christianity.
Why did Jesus tell us to celebrate christmas?
Why did he tell us to give each other presents, decorate with christmass lights, get christmas trees, and dress like a santa clause?
I rest my case
Why celebrate a fake holiday made by people who believed in many gods and witchcraft?
He didn’t. Man did.
How does jesus & god celebrate fathers day?
by arguing and then betting on whether mankind will destroy itself.
Why do Christians celebrate Jesus birthday in December, if the Bible says He was born in spring?
OK. Nobody knows when Jesus was born, and whether He was born at all, and He’s not just a personification of the Sun. But Christians could celebrate Jesus’ birthday closer to spring. Why don’t they do it?
@Pryncess: even if it was in the fall. Why in December?
christianity was attempting to supplant paganism in europe. pagans celebrated the winter solstice as a major yearly event. that event occurs very near what is now xmas. xmas was put there to compete with the solstice, to give converts a holiday to celebrate at the ‘right’ time of year, while discouraging their pagan rituals. the date is completely arbitrary, and has no connection to the actual day on which jesus may or may not have been born. clear?
Christians..if december 25 is not Jesus birthday..should we celebrate it?
i have mixed feelings about this..i think its great that people want to celebrate Jesus birth..its a great time to tell others about him,,and i love to hear all the music about him around Christmas time…but i also realise that its also about other things..commercial and well santa claus who is a lie? i have told my children the truth about him..and i love the lights , music and giving part..but i am worried that God will be angry at me if its some kind of idol worshipping or something…please only Christians reply..
There are two of us answering, here. She says that it doesn’t matter one bit. Jesus is nowhere near petty enough to care, just so long as we keep him right next to us. He cares far more that we "pray unceasingly". Jesus wants us to come to him with our joys and sorrows, our needs and our gratitudes. I think that it fits to remember Jesus’ birth at the time that we commemorate our own, every year, because isn’t that when his relationship with you, personally, began? I wholeheartedly agree with her answer.

If you celebrate Jesus’ birthday, then how does Jesus pick up his gift?
Christians believe that when we give to the "least of these" we are giving to Jesus. This year, in honor of Jesus, some little kids in my community are getting a dolly, an Incredible Hulk action figure, and a Dora the Explorer. And the homeless people at the soup kitchen will be getting a Christmas meal.
I hope Jesus will be pleased.
do you think that Baptism celebrate Jesus ? why or why not ? ??
What are other things that you feel celebrate Jesus ?????
Baptism is an act of obedience by born again Christians. It is meant to symbolize our death to sin and our new life in Jesus Christ. It is also to remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ
