Christmas: should we celebrate Jesus Christ birthday?

Posted by admin on December 14th, 2009 and filed under celebrate jesus | 32 Comments »

The day that he was born is not mention in the bible so we can’t be for sure of the exact date and do people still celebrate with Christ Jesus in mind it seems to be so commercialized a money market.

If the angels sang and announced glad tidings to the world on the day of his birth, why not we- Christians celebrate his coming? Don’t expect the atheists to do it for us. If we don’t the very stones will cry out. I can’t speak for other churches who claim to be Christians, but in the Catholic Church, the focus of the celebration is liturgical and we have nothing to do with your Santa Clauses, expensive gifts, Christmas trees and the ringing of cash registers. for Catholics, it is the liturgical celebration that matters, not the accompanying material preparations. Perhaps this explains why suicide rates on Christmas Day is higher in non-Catholic countries that in strictly Catholic ones.

How do Jews for Jesus celebrate the Holiday Season?

Posted by admin on December 4th, 2009 and filed under celebrate jesus | 12 Comments »

Is it like a combo of Christianity and Judaism.

Hanukkah First, then Birth of Jesus the next
One of my parents was Jewish. My mother a Christian.

I want to celebrate both religions this Holiday Season.

Christmas was not the date of Jesus’ birth, they have already proven that. Right now it is a Christian holiday celebrating Saint Nicholas who gave presents to children and/or a tradition holiday from Yuletide for anyone with a European or American heritage.

Christmas is the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus. What is your gift to him this year?

I ask for YOUR RESPECT & HONOR to Jesus in answering please.

My son and I will be watching for the star[ sirius ] followed by three kings[ orion's belt ] which points to Jesus [sun] being born from a virgin [virgo].

Would it be wise of me to celebrate Jesus A.s. birthday 4 months after he was born?

LMAO! They already know Christmas day is not his birthday because harvest was not in December it was in Aug/Sept. yet they still celebrate Jesus A.s. birthday in December. Isn’t that goofy, they openly admit he was born when the Quran tells us, in harvest time. LOL!
OKKKKKKKKKK! Is it me? I am the only person in the world that finds that odd?

Do as you want. And as you say, Christ was born in early September…on the 2nd of September in the year 3 BC. The visit from the Persian Astronomers (Wise Men) occurred when Christ was 15 months old, or on December 25, 2 BC. Christ is described as "a toddler" in the Persian Language regarding this event. So the First Christmas had to do with the visit from the Wise Men and therefore, Christmas can still be celebrated on the 25th of December. It really doesn’t matter what time of the year one celebrates the Birth of Christ, as long as one day is set aside annually to do so.

Above-mentioned dates are furnished by an astronomer at Texas A&M.

Christians: I don’t get it. So to celebrate Jesus’ birth we give gifts to eachother and kill a tree?

Posted by admin on November 25th, 2009 and filed under celebrate jesus | 21 Comments »

Sounds pretty ridiculous. Shouldn’t you be giving money to the church or someone in need instead of satisfying the greed of all those close to you? And why do you chop down a living tree (that gives much benefit to our eco-system)? How exactly does this have anything to do with the baby Jesus? All retarded, unless you accept you’re celebrating Yule instead of Christmas.

Sorry for reporting this, but 80% of the Christians have ADD and didn’t read where I corrected the word death to birth before any of them posted.

I agree with you, Christmas is to celebrate Christ, not to commemerate a fat man in red breaking in you house once a year and eatting your food and leaving crap that breaks in a week and candy that is old, and getting deer shit on your roof, not to mention chipping the paint and bending the tin. It is to widely commercialized. I love Jesus and I feel we should celebrate him. Oh and this Chistmas Spirit is bullshit man, "It’s Jesus birthday", so what are you saying hell with everyone the rest of the year and don’t care about living for Christ ntil its his birthday thenyou go spend more then any decent man makes, take out a morgage, and buy thousands in gifts? Why not give a little throughout the year and quit hogging it. A real Christian will agree with me 100 percent. And what is it with the Xmas crap? WHERE THE HELL DOES X COME INTO PLAY WITH JESUS??? IT IS JESUS NOT MALCOM FRIGGIN X!!! I am tired of people trying to get rich off of Jesus. Didn’t he do enough for you when he came and was beaten, flogged, whipped, and nailed to the tree so you can get away with looking at porno and lusting for another woman, and that you shall not perish but have eternal life? I guess not. Go in Christ brother.

Where in the bible does it state that we should celebrate jesus birth?

I remember Jesus stated to remember his death while he sat down in the table with the disciples but that was it!
What is your opinion?
I need a answer not a question.
I am still not getting an answer.

Where in the bible does it state that we should celebrate Jesus birth? nowhere

No where in the Bible does it say that we are to remember Christ birth. Only His death.

The Christmas celebration does not please God in any way.

We are to please God and live for Him every day, THAT is our reasonable service.
Not celebrating a holiday that has nothing to do with Him other than in name.

why is easter to celebrate when Jesus was crucified?

Posted by admin on November 20th, 2009 and filed under celebrate jesus | 23 Comments »

i mean on easter it’s all about bunnies and eggs but if you have seen the movie Passion of The Christ then why would a freakin’ bunny rabbit be there i mean it talks about Jesus on the christ getting nailed down by it i mean come on

Easter is a pagan Greek celebration of fertility that was incorporated into false Christianity to entice pagans to convert. It should not be celebrated by true Christians. The only celebration that Jesus told his followers to keep was the lord’s evening meal where his disciples drank the wine and ate the bread on Nissan 14, the night of his death. You can look this all up in the Encyclopedia at your library.

Why do mormons celebrate Christmas when they believe that Jesus was not born of a virgin?

Posted by admin on November 17th, 2009 and filed under celebrate jesus | 25 Comments »

It clearly says it in the book of mormon, so mormons, please dont deny it.

Christ was Begotten by an immortal Father in the same way that mortal men are begotten by mortal fathers." (Mormon Doctrine, 1966, p. 547)

I’ve lost count of how many times i’ve read the Book of Mormon and i’ve never come across the scripture that says Christ was not born of a virgin. In fact, he was born of Mary who happened to be a virgin. If you can find me a scripture IN THE BOOK OF MORMON that confirms this, please let me know. Good luck!
