i have parts of the family that speaks swahili (i know i spelled that so wrong) and who celebrates kwanaza. i have never celebrated it and my mom does every year. does this mean im letting my religion down?
Kwanzaa is a secular celebration, not a religious one. You are not letting your faith "down" by not celebrating it. It is a celebration of African American culture and the family, that’s all. The History Channel had a neat thing about it. You can read parts of it here —–> http://www.history.com/content/kwanzaa

What kind of Holiday(s) does Poland celebrate during the Holiday season?
And also, if you can tell me or give me a link to a website that shows a recipe for anything special they eat during the occasion that will be a great help too!
Polish food is delicious! Since Poland is a very Catholic country, they celebrate Christmas. On Christmas Eve, they fast until dinner, and then there is an enormous dinner consisting of 12 meals. Here are some great sites on Christmas in Poland:

What cultures celebrate a holiday similar to Halloween?
Other than the Hispanic "Day of the Dead" and the Celtic Samhein, do any other countries/cultures celebrate a holiday similar to Halloween? I am collecting information for my 6th grade class’s October research project. I am looking specifically for Asian cultures, or African cultures, but any and all responses are welcomed. Also, any websites that might help.
I found this very interesting. Many people to not realize how far back "Halloween" goes…
The writer J. Garnier suggests that celebrations of suffering and death can be traced back to the ancient destruction of all of his (Satan’s) human followers, as well as the hybrid sons of fallen angels, at the time of the Flood. Cultures the world over have festivals for the dead, “held by all on or about the very day on which, according to the Mosaic account, the Deluge took place, viz., the seventeenth day of the second month—the month nearly corresponding with our November.”—The Worship of the Dead, by J. Garnier
Is Monday a holiday to celebrate when Bill Cosby told blacks to be more responsible & stay in school?
Was that effective or was it like talking to a deaf person?
When Bill Cosby delivered the message that Sharpton and Jackson will not say, the minions of groups like moveontosocialism.org and the liberal media, dug up dirt to dismiss and disparage Cosby, to send him and anyone else who does not lead civil rights with "get even with whitey", a message, we will destroy you.
Cosby said blacks need to place their families and children first, fathers not to abandon their kids and have children they can’t afford.
Jackson and Sharpton on the other hand, pervert Dr King’s message by inciting racial hatred to gain political and other power.
Tomorrow you will hear Sharpton’s and Jackson’s message, not Cosbys. The liberal media chooses the leaders for black Americans who would be offended with the assumption that Jackson and Sharpton, speak for them.

They celebrate the "Revolution day" with a lot of processions and loud music. School bands are marching in the streets.
If you expect to sleep at night, you should be aware, that the people here love the tradition of fireworks. The whole night long!
Still worth to participate. All Bars and Discos are open.
