Do you really think you’re building good morals by lying to your kids about a man dressed in a red suit, and putting Jesus into the mix?
fortunately i got out of the santa lie back in 1964.
and i do not give those lies to my grandkids either.
neat, huh!
an honest grandpa
is it right to celebrate or be involved in a holiday when you don’t believe in it?
So they are kind of like Jehovah’s witnesses in that regard, I guess even in non-religion, they are following a certain religion’s prinicples. interesting!
I am aware that to many the holiday is NOT about Jesus, but about gifts, etc. Just wondering what is your reaction when someone says "Merry Christmas" to you?
I say "Merry Christmas" back.
I’m an atheist, not a dick.
what is the celebration and what country does celebrated? I am not english speaker but someone gave me a calendar in english and it appear januay Ist finished this holiday
Kwanzaa is a week-long secular celebration in the United States honoring African heritage and culture, marked by participants lighting a candle holder called a, "Kinara". It is observed from December 26 to January 1 each year. It is not a religious holiday.
Kwanzaa features activities such as candle-lighting and pouring of libations, and ending in a feast and gift giving to children who receive educational books and pieces of african art and clothing. It was created by Dr. Maulana Karenga in 1966. Dr. Karenga is an american of african heritage and currently a Professor and Academic Advisor Department of Africana Studies at California State University.
Originally, Kwanzaa was created to give people of african heritage an alternative to the existing holidays and an opportunity to celebrate themselves and history, rather than simply imitate the practices of the dominant society. The founder later decided it should not be an alternative to faith based holidays and was simply a celebration of african history and culture and could be celebrated along with the other holidays by anyone. However, very few people actually celebrate the holiday. It is estimated that only one half to two million people celebrate kwanzaa. Most people of african heritage today prefer to consider themselves to just be american.

..you call it and how would you celebrate ?
Hate day I guess. Everyone could complain for hours about what they hate.
I think the holiday has become more a universal (mostly because of corporations) holiday of appreciation for friends, family, and co-workers and has shed its secular roots. That isn’t to mean that Christians don’t celebrate the season in a more traditional and spiritual way.
Christmas is the season of ‘peace and goodwill to ALL men’, and women of course!

watchtower that was made by mankind, these words in the watchtower were written by mankind and they consider them the truth, and yet they don’t celebrate any holiday, only jesus death. is that strange? and they also said that hell doesn’t exist only heaven, if there is a heaven, than there must be a hell.
I’m afraid your question doesn’t make any sense because it is full of poor punctuation and poor grammar. Please rephrase.
Name any holiday you celebrate and what you do.
I will pick best answer if it sounds pretty awsome.
I celebrate christmas because christmas was when Jesus was born. some people think that the only reason for christmas is presents but it’s not. it is about praising the lord for all you have and visiting with your family.
