Why should India celebrate two national events every year?

Posted by admin on October 19th, 2009 and filed under celebrate events | 9 Comments »

We celebrate both Independence day and REPUBLIC DAY EVERY YEAR.Is it not enough to celebrate one of them.I wonder if we are duplicating festivals and national holidays and spending more than necessary?

Each of these two refer to the two major events in the history of India – one for Independence (1947) and the other for becoming Republic in 1950. These two have two major dimensions in our national and political – self ruling system and our countrymen avail the opportunity to reiterate and re-dedicate themselves on these two important issues/events. Therefore, national celebration on these two days.

It is not duplicating and both of them have different themes and basic requirements.

Do German’s celebrate the end of WWII with annual national events?

Most NATO countries have November 11th to honour those who paid service in the military, do Germans celebrate their fellow citizens military contribution of service in kind?

At first I want to say that November 11th is the end of the first World War (1914-1918). As someone has already said, we do not celebrate this day like a national holiday. It is a day on which we silently remember the war, our responsibilty for this war and WWII and, which is the most important, we remember the cruelty and and insanity of wars and what can be done in order to prevent anything like WWI and WWII.

Why do we celebrate Mexico’s independence day in the United States?

Posted by admin on October 15th, 2009 and filed under celebrate events | 3 Comments »

I live in Texas, and there have been many celebrations, and even school-sponsored events celebrating Mexico’s independence. Uh.. we live in the United States. What the fuck are we doing celebrating some other country’s independence? Doesn’t quite make sense to me… almost seems like treason. Anyone know why the hell we celebrate another country’s independence?? Mexico is one of the most corrupt, poverty-stricken, and shittiest countries in the world anyway..

Cuz at the time Mexico won Independence from Spain, many U.S Southwestern States ( Aztlan ) were part of Mexico.

What’s the best way to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Egypt?

Posted by admin on October 3rd, 2009 and filed under celebrate events | 8 Comments »

We have 2, yes 2, not 1 New Years around the corner.
On Monday, we are welcoming 1430 Hijry and on Thursday we are welcoming 2009!
So how do you plan to celebrate those two events, or are you going to celebrate only one?
Are you all going to SERIRamis سريراميس or are you going to جزيرة القطن??

NO celebration in Egypt,, we are morning for GAZA ..
Our hearts are bleeding for you GAZA …
All your sons who were killed today are martyrs

Allah Akbar for you Gaza
laki allah GAZA

what are the advantages to celebrate the marriage day and birth day?

Posted by admin on September 29th, 2009 and filed under celebrate events | 3 Comments »

many of the people celebrate the events like marriage day and birth day by lavishly is it necessary and any use to the society?

It has all become too materialistic. It should be a spiritual thing. Christians in early history did not celebrate birthdays. That is a pagan custom. Instead, Christians used to celebrate their "name" day….they are named after Saints and they celebrate their Saint’s feast day. We have lost our customs though.

How many of you will celebrate a Vegan Xmas this year ?

Posted by admin on September 27th, 2009 and filed under celebrate events | 1 Comment »

Celebrating Jesus’ birth is about celebrating life! I will not allow my family to celebrate such an event (whether true or not) with the taking of a life. We will eat a vegetables and eat healthy. I want my children to grow up being individuals and not mindless followers.

I applaud your integrity and convictions.

We will have a vegan joining us this year, we almost always have several vegetarians in the crowd. I am looking for a good cookbook gift to give her, she is 15 and has been vegetarian for 2 years and just went vegan in the past few months.

I have a couple of vegan cookbooks I love and will make a few dishes that are friendly for her.

I am not Christian though, so the taking of a life does not have the same impact for me. It is acceptable in our faith.
