How to Celebrate Christmas without spending Single Money ?

How to Celebrate Christmas without spending Single Money ? I have gingerbread decoration , one Christmas card , Candy And Christmas Tree Art that I draw……..I am 12 years old……..I am Celebrating Christmas lonely with my friends………………………………………………..I have Christmas cap……………………Please help me……………………

What about taking a walk around town and check out the lights and listen to what your friends like. Maybe there is some hot chocolate you can make when you are done? Make some tree art for people and give them that. I’m an old lady and love getting homemade art from children/teens.

How about you and your friends go to a nursing home and cheer up some of the residents. Play some games at an orphanage (or children’s hospital if they will let you.)

Animals need love to. How about a visit to a local shelter and pet or play with the animals.

You could ask for donations around your neighborhood for either a homeless shelter, Red Cross or animal shelter.

Merry Christmas to you and your friends. Don’t forget to wear your cap!

People, Is this a stupid holiday to celebrate?

Ok, I celebrate Oktoberfest, a German holiday, and everytime I fly to Germany to celebrate it, people think I’m crazy to fly to Germany to celebrate a holiday. Am I crazy?

Some people prefer the real experience of the German Oktober Fest than the lame American versions and the idiots who attend them that have no clue what the holiday is about. Believe it or not, its not about drinking!

Why do christians celebrate Easter if its a pagan holiday?

Posted by admin on August 29th, 2009 and filed under celebrate easter | 41 Comments »

Easter is known to have alot of accounts that come from pagan beliefs.

The bunny: is a known sign of "fertilism"

The passover has nothing to do with bunnies, or rabbits…

So why?

Easter was taken from the Pagan esbat of Ostara, named for the Goddess Ostara, the Goddess of spring.

The used Easter as the way to help win converts, much the same as they did with Christmas/Winter Solstice.

The rabbit comes from the original tales of Ostara as does the "Easter egg" hunt.

Is "every day is a celebration" really a good excuse to never celebrate anniveraries or Valentine’s day?

Posted by admin on August 27th, 2009 and filed under celebrate celebration | 6 Comments »

How about "every day with you is special to me"? My boyfriend constantly uses these excuses and I know he remembers the important dates. Should I accept our different backgrounds? Anniversaries and Valentine’s day is VERY important to me and it is obvious that they are not to him. I don’t expect a fancy gift, in fact, I don’t expect anything to be given to me at all. I just feel like these two dates out of the year should be spent alone with your partner.

Relationships are all about compromise. Every day IS special. Valentines day is there to celebrate how special every day is! A rose, a special dinner, a card, a massage, a fun little activity…it doesnt have to be big. if youve told him that it is special to you, he should understand that and do something for you.
My husband understands that these dates are special, but he never plans anything. but thats just his style. Its special to me too, so I take the time to make dinner reservations, or plan a special meal. This year (our first as a married couple) we’re staying in and Im making a dinner for two, Im buying a small desert a day ahead to have, got a bottle of bubbly, and for AFTER dessert I got some chocolate dipped strawberries, bubble bath, and chocolate body paint…see where Im going? Im not leaving it up to him to make it special.

Your BF may just not know HOW to celebrate, or WHAT to do, you know? So why dont YOU plan something, that both of you will like, and teach him by example how to be good at thsoe things. He’ll learn…hopefully! And if not, at least he’ll go along with your plan, and you’ll always get to do what you want! :)
If he still puts up a fuss if you plan everything and wont go along with it, then he is a jerk and a half and you should rethink letting him be your boyfriend.

My ex before I met my hubby was clueless. He was out of town and came back on Valentines day, and he had school that night. So he said he couldnt do anything. (Im like you, not needing big gifts or anything, just some time spent!) And he was just too tired. So I went and got a single rose and a box of Hot Tamales and a little Happy VDay card and left it on his car at school. He never returned the favor, or apologized for not returning the favor, or even tried to make it up with a date or anything. So after that, then a similar thing on my Bday (in april) I said GOODBYE as a gift to myself!

Why do so many Christians celebrate Pagan festivals such as Christmas and Easter?

Posted by admin on August 27th, 2009 and filed under celebrate events | 14 Comments »

Since you believe paganism is evil, why on earth do you celebrate these events. And since Jesus was born in a stable, is it really justified to buy such expensive gifts for your children. Shouldn’t this be a humble act?

Most, if not all, religions pick up on aspects of religions around them at their creation. Doing this enables them to convert more people as the change is not drastic and does not arouse the same suspicions as a completely different religion.
It’s like, if you had worshiped one God your whole life, and then someone comes along and tells you to worship 48 Gods… doesn’t sound so good. But if they tell you to worship a different God… the idea might just stick…
Pagans got their ideas from their predecessors, and then they got their ideas frroooommm HUMANS! Religion, the best man made business idea ever. Woo.

Do You Celebrate Christmas? Why or Why Not?

Posted by admin on August 27th, 2009 and filed under celebrate chrismas | 26 Comments »

We choose not to celebrate Chrismas, and I haven’t celebreated it for 11 years this year. Why do we need to celebrate Jesus birth on only one day throughout the year? Why not celebrate it every day? Why celebrate it on a day that isn’t His birthday? Why go into debt to buy gifts for people you hardly see and don’t want to but you’ll buy it because it’s Christmas?

I’m not condemning anyone for your beliefs. Just wondering what you do and why.

Can I move in with you and your family? When I was single I got to a point where I didn’t put up a tree. People thought I was nuts, but i just could not be bothered.
My wife and daughter are sooooooooo into it. I hate the family obligations and the gift buying. The older I get the more it’s turned into just another day for me.

How do your pets celebrate the holidays with you? What are in their stockings?

Posted by admin on August 27th, 2009 and filed under celebrate what | 7 Comments »

Ours have stockings and each has a box of bark bars, some treats, chews, each has a toy and a ball.
We’ll wrap presents loosely and then let them "nose" them open. They get all giddy and excited when it’s the holidays. They KNOW they have stockings and will be real excited to dig into them. They won’t be allowed but a few treats of their choice and the rest of the treats will go in their treat box.
Tomorrow, they will get some turkey breast (each one of them, no skin or bones) as a "treat" with their food.
How do you celebrate?

My pitbull/whippet dog KNOWS when something is his! He has a real long tail and he wiggles it real fast, puts his ears up, and sits right away to beg for whatever I have in his stocking! He is getting treats and a giant stuffed hedgehog that squeaks .. he loves his squeakies!

What are some ideas to celebrate Jesus at Christmas?

Posted by admin on August 27th, 2009 and filed under celebrate jesus | 13 Comments »

The reason for the season…I am a Sunday school teacher at a Christian church. I teach 5 and 6 year olds. I would like to give them a list of ways they can celebrate Jesus at Christmas time along with their Christmas gifts. Any ideas would be appreciated.

This might help :)

I walked into the living room last night where my two youngest were looking at the Christmas tree, arm in arm singing…

Happy birthday to Jesus
Happy birthday to Jesus
I believe in Santa clause
please bring me lots of presents
Happy birthday to Jesus.

The idea is to maybe have them throw a birthday party for Jesus, and the preesnt they give Him is their love and devotion.

Why are so many Christians on here fascinated with why atheist celebrate Christmas?

Posted by admin on August 27th, 2009 and filed under christmas celebrate | 15 Comments »

I see "Why do atheists celebrate Christmas" on here ever single time I come here. Why do so many of them have such a fascination with the topic?

Some of them are actually convinced we really believe in God, so I imagine if we celebrate Christmas they think they’re justified.

Funny how the Pagans don’t think everyone is Pagan.
