  • Organize a family reunion for 2008 at RMNP
  • Arrange a team of up to 8 members and enter the 2nd Annual Caching Riding Mountain GPS Adventure Quest.  75 caches have been placed by communities, individuals and businesses in honor or RMNP's 75th Anniversary.  For more information click on:  www.friendsof riding mountain.ca
  • Give family members and friends a 2008 membership to the Riding Mountain Historical Society  - only $10 a year, what a bargain!!
  • Decorate your cabin, cottage or business with a string of white lights so that we can "light up the night" during 2008.
  • Celebrate your special connection to RMNP and purchase a Heritage Walk Stone that will be part of the path beside the Visitor Centre's perennial garden.  Email us at the address above and a brochure will be sent to you.
  • Gather up your family and plan to attend the 75th Danceland Decades social event on Friday, August 22nd, 2008.
  • Enter the Riding Mountain Triathlon (August 16, 2008) or the "Try-a-Triathlon" on August 17,2008.  For more information, click on:  www.rmtri.com
  • Visit the wishing well and make a wish as to what you would like to see for RMNP's 100th anniversary!
  • Make a scrapbook of the photographs of your favorite times at RMNP
  • Organize some cookhouse get-togethers
  • Arrange a lawn bowling tournament with your friends.  Be part of the Family Feud on August 24th.
  • Hike some of your favorite trails
  • Make a journal to be read at RMNP's 100th Anniversary
  • Organize a group camping outing at Kippechewin or Ma-Ma-O-Pe and invite "the old gang" and their families.
  • Set up a family challenge of a game of checkers using the large checkerboard by the Tennis Courts.
  • Brush up on the "jitterbug, jive and polka" dances so that you will be in shape to strut your stuff at the Danceland Decades on August 22nd, 2008
  • Did you work in the Parks in the past?  Organize a staff reunion.
  • Did you get married in the Park?  Renew your vows in front of the Wishing Well or at the Bandstand.  (Please note that you will need to check if these facilities have been pre-booked.
  • Read about Grey Owl or rent the movie
  • Organize a golf or tennis tournament.
  • Arrange a horseshoe tournament.
  • Organize a neighbourhood picnic at one of the 17 picnic spots in the Park.
  • Make up a quiz of who owned the original businesses in the townsite and where they were situated- you can get lots of information for this at the Pinewood Museum.
  • Go on a breakfast ride on horseback.
  • Grab your picnic blankets and come listen to the free concerts by the Manitoba Millennium Band on July 12th and 13th at the Bandstand on the Main Beach.
